Querido Familia y Amigos,
Happy Wednesday! Do you know what a Wednesday P day means? Thats right: I just got back from the Monterrey NL Temple!!! I never get tired of the temple (that might have something to do with the fact that I only get to go every six weeks, but you know). The intense strength of the spirit during and after the session is incredible. Truly the temple is the house of the Lord, and truly we can get great inspiration from our attendence thereof.
Speaking of temples: Three new ones!!! I was waiting with bated breath to find out if we would get any new ones, and low and behold! Another temple on the African continent is super exciting, especially considering the progress of the work there (and in Thailand and Haiti). I cant wait to see the progress of the temples in Ivory Coast, Port au Prince, and Bangkok!
But aside from that, this years spring general conference was a delight. I, along with the other gringos here in my area, got to watch it from a small computer screen in English, while everyone else watched it in Spanish in the chapel. I cant wait to get the next issue of the Liahona to study these discourses more in depth. I was especially fond of the talks given by Sister Burton, Elder Wilford Andersen on Saturday and President Monson, Sister Wixom, and Elder Pino on Sunday. We can learn a lot about improving our families and our discipleship from reading and pondering these talks.
Sé que hay un profeta viviente en la tierra hoy y que él habla con Dios para todos nosotros. Sé que el templo es el casa del Señor y que nuestro asistencia del templo es un privilegio y un gran servicio.
Los amo tanto,
Elder Lambert
A lovely picture of me with one of our younger investigators and my companions forehead.
