Dearest Friends and
Family,
This week has been
quite the adventure, even though it has only been a few days since last I wrote
you all. Since Temple day we have finally reached the ultimate goal of the
mission: a baptism!
The four in the middle
are the converts. The two by the other Elders were their investigators Alfa and
Camilo and the others are ours, Martha and her son Angel. To clear up any
confusion: No, I did not officiate the ordencance because Angel wanted the bishop
to do it and Martha desperately wanted Elder Alexander to officiate for her.
Still, it was an amazingly spiritual experience.
Seeing people come one
step closer to eternal life and bringing themselves to Christ is an amazing
experience. It makes all the hardships and stress worth it. Coming to love a
person and then bringing them to the waters of baptism is the whole reason we
wear these placards.
Sé que el Señor nos da
bendiciones cada dia. Sé que el Evangelio es el unico manera en que podemos
entrar en el reino de Dios. Sé que podemos vivir con nuestros seres queridos
para siempre atravez los ordenanzas del evangelio y este conocimiento me da
mucho consuelo y felicidad.
